MIDLAND RAILWAY ARBITRATION. (BY TELEGRAPH.) Wellington, December 23.
At the afternoon's sitting of tho Arbitration Court Mr Gully finished his arguI incut on behalf of the Crown, and Mr Cooper briefly replied for the company. After somo conversation between the parties, it was agreed that both consent to the following: "The company is entitled to selection of block 76, to take the money in suspense account (about L 5000) at the 111 value of tho land, and to take other lands for balance of the L20,0G0 due on tho selections refused " Mr Blake intimated that he would deposit his award to-morrow morning. It was agreed that Mr Gully should receive tho award on behalf of the Crown, and Mr Harrison on behalf of the company. At 3.15 p.m. the Court adjourned sine die.
