COMMERCIAL. OAMARU MARKET REPORT.

North Otago Times Owicb, Saturday afternoon. Business daring the week has been limited to millers' transactions, and these|have been few and insignificant. There is, however, a good demand for wheat at from 4a to 4s 2d, and as high as 3s lOd is paid for whole fowls' feed. Oats are firm, and prices are somewhat in advance of previous quotations. Bright short milling are up to 2s 3d to 2s 4d, and Danish feed at 2s] 2d, and transactions hare been effected at these prices. There is nothing new in reference to barley, which Is quoted at up to 2s 4d for feeding sorts, and up to 2a 9d to 3a for malting purpoeea The prices for this cereal have been maintained at a profitable price for the farmer, who receives thereby encouragement to increase its production. Potatoes are somewhat easier, old Derwents being quoted at 50s. and the new tuber is being retailed at Id per lb. The other lines of produce have experienced no change. Butter — Farm, 5d to 6d ; factory, Bd. Eggs, 6d.
