Tho Agricultural Department ore convening a conference tj be held in Wellington at the end of August in connection with the frozen meat industry and colonial produce for tin* Home tnH'kets. Both branches of the Legislature will adjourn to morrow afternoon after parsing resolutions of oondolerce with the widow and family of tho late Jurlye Richmond. Messrs B. C. Haggibt (Dunedin) and Theo. Cooper (Auckland) are mentioned as pcubible appointees to the vacancies on the Supreme Court Bench. As to Sir Patrick Buckley, it is pointed out that the Disqualification Acb does not apply to the Attorney-General, but I hardly expect he will bo selected.
