NORTH OTAGO CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR UNION.

The quarterly meeting of the above Union was held in the Wear street Hill last night, when there was a large gathering of young people. Tho president (the Rev. A. Dewdney) occupied the chair, and the mee'ing \r*<* opened with devotional exercises. The secretary (Mr J. H. White) redd the qu irterly statement of the ex^U'ive committee, and tho report of the look out committee was read by Mr W. A Patterson, convener. 80-h reports showed that the Union was fulfilling its functions with vigor. The subjtct for consideration and di*cu^ion wis "The Associate Members," ai.d papers were contributed as follows : " Who are eligible for associate membership," by Mi'-s Alexander, of the Eufir-ld Society; "The duty of the associate member to the Society, ' by Mr G. Murray, vice-president, St. Paul's Si ciety ; and "The duty of the Society to thu associate member," by Miss K. M. Macgregor, M.A., of Columba Society. The papers were followed by an interesting; discussion, in which a I irge number of members took part. The president, at the close, delivered a short address to the 'issocute members, urging upon them the importance of deciding fur Christ, and stepping into the ranks of active membership.
