At tho Mayistrato's Court Mr Poyn«-on committed Minnie Dean for trial for the murder of Dorothy Edith Carter, and discharged Charles Dean. He said that there irni no evidence at all agAinst Charles Daan, And that he left the Court without a stain on his character. Tho police, however, were justified in arresting him, as they did not know what e»idenco might crop up. He thought that whore husband aud wife lived together, and bodies were found buried in their garden, it was quite within reason thi\t tho police should suspect the husband of being connected, and had there bean any evidence against him at all ho would certainly have committed him. Mr Hanlou, solicitor for accused, admitted that the police acted fairly, and were entitled to credit for the way they worked up the c^se. Dean shook hands with his solicitor and left.
