Whcafc. -"-Business Is limited, supplies in millers' hands being more than suflicient. With small lots of primo velvet sales can be effected, but this class at the moment scema to bo the only sort required, any other being difficult to place except at fowls' wheat price. Quotations : For primo milling velvet, 2» lOd to 2s lid ; good to best do and beat Tuscan, 2s 9d to 2a lOd ; good to best red wheat, 2s 8d to 2s 9d ; medium and good wholo fowls' wheat, 2s Gd to 2s 7d ; broken and inferior to medium, 2s 2d to 2s (id (ex atoro, Hacks weighed in, torms). Oats. — Tho tone of the market, whilo firm, docs not show any improvement. Only a meagre demand exists. The speculative clement in shippers' operations is conspicuous by its absence, and the millers' rlemund having lately fallen off to almost nothing, the quantity disposed of is not Tory heavy. A few sellers are still indisposed to quit at lower pricos than those quoted lately, while buyers arc evidently not in a position to do business except at a reduction, and which has now to bo submitted to if ualcs are to be effected. The idpa prevails that prices have not yot reached bottom. Meantime, wo quote : Prime milling, bright and stout, Is 4J,d to Is 5d ; best bright short feed, la B£d to Is 4d ; medium to good, Is 2Jd to Is BJd ; inferior and musty, Is to Is 2d (ox store, Backs extra, net). Barley. — Very little businoss in dono. The market is pretty well cleared of good malting. Quotations are nominal, say, for prime malting, 8s Gd to 8s 9d ; ehoico, 4s ; medium, 8.-5 to 8s 8d ; milling, 2s 8d to 2s 0d ; feed, In 9d to 2s (ox store, sacks extra, net).
