The object of tho Association shall bo bo promote bho moral and social wollbeing of the coramuniby ; in particular (a) To secure tho inforcoment of tho oxiating laws relating to tho sale of intox'cating liquors. (b) To euppress gambling, (o) To promote eocal purity. (d) To secure the services of our best citizens for public office, (o) To promote social legislation wherover deemed adv'aablo. 3. AM persons of the age of 21 years and upwards approved by tho JSxecubive shall, on payment of not losa bl><in ono shilling, bo admiltoJl to membor«hip. 4. Tho affcura of tho Association shall bo conducted by a couimittoo of 15 mombofs, of whom five shall form a quotum who shall be olectod at tho annual general meeting, and who ahull eleob their own chairman, bgo« rotory, and treasurer, and frame by-laws 5. No alteration shall bo made in this Constitution oxcepb ab an annual general mo ting, or at a special general meeting called for tho purpose at tho writton requisition of not less than 20 members of the Association. Notico of motion must be given in writing to the secretary nob loss than ono monbh before dato of meeting, and tho secretary shall give no loss than 11- days' notice of such suggested alteration to every member of tho Aeiociation.
