I he Timaru players in the singles won htndoomely by 31 hole Borne of tho play, which started at) half past ten, wan vory loso ', and thoso waa not) a greab 'livorgenco in bho number of ebrokos by each teem. Messrs Brodie and Uunus divided tho honors after much cloho play. Tho u crack " playora of «ach siJo Mr D. Brydono (Oaraaru), an'l Mr Ronaldaon (Timaru) showed up very close and skilful play, bub the Oamaru captain scored one hole more chan his opponent when play coaeod. The " foursome " play was more oven. Mossra Darling and Sicvwrighb failed to bio by two ebrokos, and Messrs Newton and Church woro only boaben by one hole.
