Tho West Ooasb m'ners wero not of too frugal habits, and our Canadian, living nob wiaely, but too woll, when bis claim was done owed Seddon a considerable 'tucker' account, which he was unable to pay. do made a moonlight flitting, and Dick, who was alao a man of thowa and sinovrs, followed him up, and m \ ho oould nob get his money he took it oub by administering to bha Canadian a sound thrashing. My friend's Yankee mate, when ho hoard of this did nob cay mncb, but upparently thoughb a good deal, and when the Btorekeopoi'fl man mado his weekly doitvery of tuckor h • eaid : ' 1 say, mato, nexb time you como bring along your bill, and bring us no more tucker.' When aekod lor hie reason— ' Woll, 1 don't much like a man who does business in tho stylo your boBB does. I don't liko a man who comes with his bill in ono hand and his shirt m bbo other. lam going to doal with tho Dutchman now, and if I can't pay him I shan'b bo obliged to tako any of his^sas," You boo, i can lick him.
