A horse and trap owned by Arthur Newtoo, dairyman, backed over the wharf. The hono whs drowned. (2) That momben give every support and assistance to any legislation tending to further the interasts of the dairy industry in providing greater facilities for transit and stor•gt. (3) That the Chamber of Commerce cordially endorses the declaration of the Gorernmeut that it is their intention to preserve a strictly non-borrowing policy ; also, a resolution rt the North Island Trunk Railway, regretting so little has been done in the way of explorations and surveys to enable Parliament to come to a 6nal judgment on the best railway route to adopt. A second resolution, urging the members of the Auckland district to get complete direct road communication via tha West Coast, as recommended by tht Parliamentary Committee, farther was carried. Other resolutions wers for the opening up of native lands, the completion of the Rotorua Railway, and urging tho Auckland tnombers to •upport tha Vancouver mail service.
