WELLINGTON. September 13.

At a meeting of members of the Wei ington Fruit Growers' Association a reaolution wai passed regretting the opposition ihown in Parliament to what the members considered fair and equitable, and in the interests of the shareholders. The Association have L500 in hand contributed for the purposes of buah felling, but it was decided to postpone the question of proceeding with the work. The Hinemoa returned from Nelson this morning, making the trip in nine hours. The Rugby Union took L110 at the gates for the football match yesterday. The Premier is better to-day, and ex* pects to be in his place in the House this afternoon. In the Divorce Court, J. B. Snasdell, laborer, Woodville, obtained a decree nisi ag.vinst his wife on the ground of adultery. Kate Phillips sued her husband, J. H. Phillips, formerly a surveyor, for divorce on the ground of adultery and desertion. The case is adjourned for further proof of adultery. It is expected that next spring tides the barque Weathersfield, which has been ashore on Otaki Beach some considerable time will bo floated off. Last week she shifted 90 feet seaward. The Premier's heal h is steadily improving. Hu attended a Cibinefc meeting at Parliamentary Buildings this afternoon, but did not tesume his place in uhe Chamber.
