Weight for ape: For all District horses that have never won an advertised prize of 10 sovs ; horses to be the bona fide property (for not less than three months immediately preceding the race) of bona fide residents in the Waimate and Waitaki Counties Distance, one mile and a quarter. To start at 12.45 p.m. 3. Kubow Cup HArDic\p, of 45 sovs ; 5 sovs from stake to go to second horse. One mile and a half. Open Nomina tion, 255. Acceptance, 20s. To start at 1.3 C p.m. 4. Handicap Tiaie Trot, of 25 sovs ; 5 sovs from stakes to go to second horse ; lOst up. Two miles. Nomination, 15s. Acceptance, 10s To start at 2. 15 p.m. 5. Countifs Plate Handicap, of 25 sovs ; 5 sovs from stakes to go to second horse. One mile and a quarter. Winner of Maiden tocarry7lbs penalty. Nomina tion, 15s. Acceptance, 10s. To start at 3 p m. 6. District Hack Selling Racf, of 15 sov3. Winner to be sold for 10 sovs ; any surplus to go to the funds. No weight under 9st. Post entry. Once round the course. Horses to be the bona fide property for not less than three calendar months of bona fide residents within the district of Awamoko River to Morven Hills, and from Redcliff Hotel to the Grampian Hills, including Ben Ohau, bounded by the Watershed on both sides of the Waitaki River. Entry, 15s, To start at 3 45 p.m, 7. Jockiy Club Handicap, of 35 sovs; 5 sovs from stakes to go to second horse. Winner of Kurow Cup to carry lOlbs. penalty. Three-quarters of a mile. Open. Rules. 1. Dunedin Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to, and the decision of the Stewards will be final. 2. The District for Maiden and Counties Plate will be the Waimate and Waitaki Counties. 3. Nominations for Kurow Cup, Handicip Yime Trot, Counties PUte, and Jockey Club Handicap to be lodged with the Secretary not later than 8 r.m. on SATURDAY, 17th SEPTEMBER 4. Entries for Selling Hurdle Race and Maiden Plate to be lodged with the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on TUESDAY, 4th OCTOBER. 5. Acceptances for Kurow Cup, Handicap Time Trot, Counties Plate, and Jockey Club Handicap, to be lodged with the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on TUESDAY, 4th OCTOBER. 6. Handicaps to appear in the North Otago Times of 27th September. 7. Horses not at the post at the advertised time of starting are liable to a fine of Two Guineas. 8. Five per cent will be deducted from all winnings for expenses. 9 Nominators to give previous performance and colors of riders. 10. The Trotting Race will be under the Rules of the New Zealand Trotting Association. 11. Nominations to be under cover and marked " Nominations only."
