NEW PLYMOUTH. October 10.

The sealing case, in which Andrew Newton was charged with stealing one thousand pounds worth of skins belonging to Joseph Hatch, occupied the Court all yesterday, and up to luncheon to-day, and has been adjourned till the 22nd October, The defence is tint Mr Hatch did not carry out the agreement to give the men 15a a skin, and. further, that nil the skins of the " regulation" size, to which he was entitled under the agreement, were handed to him. Mr J, P. M. Fraaer appears for the defence, and great interest is taken in the proceedings.
