o— — Admirers of Lord Beaconufield ob* served the tenth anniversary of his death by decorating his atatue and themaelvea with primroses. Two wreaths — one of immortelles and tho ether of primroses — sent by the Queen were placed on the deceased statesman's tomb at Hughenden. At the dinner of the Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain, nt the Hotel M6tropole, Mr Stanley Lucas, the secretary, announced a considerable sum in donations, which included 17 guineas from the Queen and 25 guineai from the president. A year ago the fastest train between London and Aberdeen, 542 uvleß, ran in fourteen hours. Last fall it was reduced to twelve hourß and fifty minuteß. This year it will cover the 542 miles in 12 hourß, or a little over 45 miles an hour. Owing to whooping-cough, James Daviß, a potman, of Randolph-street, Camden Town, London, loot three children in one day. They were all little girle. It transpired that nine peraons occupied one room, which the coroner thought was rather close.
