Tho range solocted for the Now Zealand Rifle Association mooting in January is on the property of Mr William Ilislop, at O<unaranui It is about seven miles from Napier, with a good road, and can bo reachod by bus in about throe-quarters of an hour. Tho aspect of tho range is southerly, with high hills for a backI ground. The firing points are on an open plain, and therefore will not bo affected by battling winds, as there are no gullies to contend with. Subscriptions towards tho expenses of tho mooting aro coming in freely. Groat interest is being manifested in tho mooting. Mr Cr. 11. Swan has boon nominated for Napier. Mr 11. Thomson, (irand Master of tho Now Zealand Freemasons, consecrated the novy hall built for a science lodgo in tho presence of one hundred Masons, ropresenting "overy part of tho provinco. Tho hall is handsome architecturally, and is sumptuously furnished. After tho ceromony tho brethren sat down to a banquet served in the largo b'liiquotting room attached to tno building.
