The firing points are on an open plain, and therefore will not bo affected by battling winds, as there are no gullies to contend with. Thomson, (irand Master of tho Now Zealand Freemasons, consecrated the novy hall built for a science lodgo in tho presence of one hundred Masons, ropresenting "overy part of tho provinco. Tho hall is handsome architecturally, and is sumptuously furnished. After tho ceromony tho brethren sat down to a banquet served in the largo b'liiquotting room attached to tno building.
