The salo of (.ho Midland Railway Company's land resulted in 41,817 acres boing sold for L 52,532 ds. Prices ranged for tho larger blocks from 33s to L 2 per aero, and small blocks L 3 10s. Fifty-nine lots oufc of 85 lots were Hold. Tho unsold lots comprise 32,304 acres, and are exposed to realiso at the upset price L2.">,000. Tho present occupiers of the runs, of which the land sold forms part, were purchasers in most oasos.
