A return of land selected during tho quarter onding 30th June, 1890, shows that in tho various districts 100 selectors took up 35,478 a 2r 18p on cash system : 72 selectors took up 9809 a Or 12p on tho deferred paymoufc systom ; 204 selectors took up 75,238 a 2r 6p on perpetual lease ; 23 selector* took up G0» 3r 'Slip for village settlement (cash); 13 selectors took up 60a 3r lp for village settlement (deferred payment) ; threo selectors took up 401 acres for homestead ; 44 selectors took up 055,918 acres for pastoral runa ; seven selectors took up 8151 a 2r 32p tor small grazing runs.
