February 27. By tho Mararoa yesterday there were exported to Sydney 2437 sacks maize, 1970 sucks potatoes, and 420 bags flour. Lord Inverarie and the Marquis of Devonshire have left for Sydney. A land agent at Cambridge, John Wilson, has tiled a petition of insolvency. His debts (secured and unsecured) amount to L 12.488. The goldfiold at Kuaotunu is steadily progressing, and there are now a large number of claims pegged. The Hidden Treasure licensed holding is to be worked by a syndicate, and operations are to be commenced at once. The hearing of the appeal agaitisit the decision for the amount of damages in the famous land case, Manaeran v. M'Arthur and Co., has been commenced at Suva, Fiji.
