Nothing else of importance was done, bufc Aristocrat, Apropos, FUhwife, Boz, and Oakleigh all appoar very fit. Dreadnaught looked a bit light. Abercorn did not put in au appearance. Power will rid* Wild Oat. Propounded* friends areyery sanguine, whilst Ernest's friends deem the Newmarket Handicap a real good thing for him. The following are the latest quotations : 100 to 12 agst Aristocrat 100-11 Rudolph 100 — 10 Fishwife Received February 27, at 1.10 a. m. Mklboubni, February 26. In consequence of the terribly hot day, betting has been dormant till this evening. Rudolph was in better demand than Aristocrat, displacing the latter from premier position, but no decisive blow was struck, business being limited to a few odd hundreds. Tongariro was backed to win L5OOO at LlOOO to Ll5. Boz was supported to the extent of L3OOO at 100 to 7 ; 100 to 8 finally becoming the best offer. Motas friends accepted L3OO at 100 to 3. When the betting closed Rudolph stood at 100 to 12; Aristocrat, 100 to 11 ; Fishwife, 100 to 10 ; but business was slack pending the morning's gallops,
