R«c«ired February 25, at 10.15 p.m. Mklboukns, February 25. There has been a fair amount of wagering during the day, L 350 to LlOO being accepted in one line about Aristocrat. Notwithstanding this the latter returned hit old position. The other wagera taken were 1000 to 90 Fishwife, and 1000 to 25 Churchill. The following are the latest quotations for the Newmarket Handicap: 9 to 1 Aristocrat and Rudolph, 11 to 1 Fishwife, 20 to 1 Profounder, Wild Oat, Churchill, Jerusalem, Gladstone, Apropos, 25 to 1 Coruuny Soots Grey, Sir William, Gift, Fernando, Tourbillon, Skifspring, Ginger, 33 to 1 Dunkeld and Jahn, 60 to 1 Hata and Casuist. At Caulfield this morning Tourbillon put in a rattling six furlongs in Irain 18^secs. Tongartro did an equally good performance. Fernando also put in some capital work. Abercorn appeared to be lame.
