ARRIVAL OF THE TONGARIRO. (BY TELEGRAPH.) Wellington, December 2.

TheR.M.S. Tongariro arrived from London, via the Cape and Hobart, at 4 this afternoon. She left Plymouth on the 19th October, Santa Cruz on the 24th, Cape Town on the Bth November, and Hobart at 8.40 p.m. on the 27th. Until arriving at Hobart she encountered variable winds, but after leaving that port she experienced a north-east gale with heavy confused sea and much rain. The following are the- officers : Commander, J. Bone ; chief officer, Mr C. A. Milward, vice Bio v ham ; R. Den ton, second officer ; Dr A, H. Williams, surgeon.
