The was a largo attendance of farmers find o'hera interested, and the parade of hora?s was larger than usual, ihere bein* 23 draughts, four roadsters, and one thoroughbred Amongst the draughts wera a number of youugsten, who made rhelr first appearance aa stud horseß this season. These Included Me M f Auley'a Tot-.ra Chief, by Prioo of Scotland ; Mr D. M'Grogoi''e Scottish Chief, by Pride of Scotland; Mr T. Mee'a Quality Jock, by P/ide of Scotland; Hon. M. Holraea' Atb.«htane, by Lord Siliebury ; Mr Walter's Pricc'e, by Souter Johnny ; Mr J. D. Mitchell's Prince of Eldprslia (renamsd Director), by Young Bnker; Mr A. Balfour's Champion, by Lord H^.ddo ; Mr T. Mee'e Farmers' L'd. by Young Banker; tnd Mr T. Steveneon'B Gallant Lid, by Young Banker. Amongst thiee were first-class specimens of the stud horsr, whioh should d^vulop with age into all that recommends a eire. It may be said that all tbe bosses were wtll brought out. Sir William Wbllhob, who wan well-known in this district several yeera ago. has been recently brought down from Wanganui, and he looked aa'fresh aa ever. Time o'Day, who haß been travelling for some jearß in the Waimßte distiicr. was rlbu on parade. Hb is advertised to travel in this district this Beaaon. Tie other horses on parade yesterday are well-known H^^to the district. We believe that several of tbe homes on parade yesterday will bo taken to other districts this aeaaon' Amongst the roadoters are BoV>by Bums, »» Young Highflyer, Tommy Dodd, and Shales, the first three being fresh arrivals here, Bobby Burua and Young Highflyer should prove suitable boreea for breediog the heavier eI»S3 of li^ht borsee from. The former \b a powerful upending b»y, and the latter is by Detractor, and slightly finei made. Tommy Dodd ia a piebald. Taiaros was the only thoroughbred paraded, i»nd Mr Henderson has brought Llm out in fine fettle. Tbe following were the horses paraded DBATJGH7S.
