OAMARU MARKET REPORT. North Otago Times Office, Saturday Evening, Feb. 19, Merchants report a slight enquiry for new wheat, withont loading to business, quotations being higher than buyers' ideas of vv'ue. Small parcels of oats have been piaced at a reduction on last quotations, viz , fhort, at le 7Jd, fob, and feed at 1b Gd, fob. There has been nothing doiDg ir barley, Rjegrass seed (machine doable rireseed) is qantod at 3s 6d, fob, with b very limited demand. Wheat— Millere report having mads but few purchase?. Ia the earlier part of tht week prime milling realised 3) 61 ; later we have heard of 10G0 backs having been pur chased at 3i 4i. To-day tho only eal< reported was a Entail lot at the same figure. Tho tendency of the market; is to lowei rates. Oats— Some samples of the new crop have b.ren offering, a small lob of prime short having been placed at la Bi, Old oats, ir the absence of sMus, are nominally quoted at Ir 7d to Is 8d for prime Bhort, aad Is 6 : for feed.
