Reports fiom Perth (Western Australia) state that fully 1000 diggers are now round the Kimberley goldfields. Rccoived M. y 20, afc 10.30 p.m. Sydney, May 20 The JMararoa sailed for Sail Francisco, by way of Auckland, this afternoon. The details of the budget proposals of the Government are still under discussion. In committee in the Legislative Assembly, a proposal for the imposition of a 5 per cent ad valorem duty on a numbev of articles hitherto admitted free, and an increase on the present c'uty otherwise, meeting with vigorous opposition from {Sir Henry Parkes and his followers. Sir Henry threatens, if the proposalg are insisted upon, he will do his utmost to force a dissolution. Sir John Robercgon also expresses himself opposed to the proposals brought down by Sir Patrick Jennings,
