Received December 19, at 12 30 p.m. Sydney, December 19. It is believed that Sir Jobn llobertaon has succeeded in forming a Cabinet, aud that the following are the names submitted to his Excellency tbe Governor : Sir John Robertson, Messrs Burns, Heydor, Garratt, H. Young, Garvan, and Dr Henwick : the latter with a seat in the Legislative Council Sir Henry Parkes, and Mesara O'Connor, Foster, and Sufcton are stated to have declined office.

Tbe Hon. James Service (Premiei') and tbe Hon. Graham Berry (Golouial Secretary) will represent the colony of Victoria at the forthcoming Federal Council to be held at Hobart. The Hon. Mr Kerferd will accompany them as their logal adviser.

A most disastrous fire broke out yesterday at tbe warehouses of Messrs Ci'ookp and Brooker, Port Adelaide, tbe whole of which were completely destroyed. Some other adjoining warehouses had a narrow escipe. Messrs Orooke and Brooker estimate the damage at L 36,000 lo L 40,000. Tho loss was covered by insurance to tbe amount of L 25,000, in which all tbe principal company's are interested.
