THE BAD AND WORTHLESS

>»re never imitated or counterfeited. This is especially true of a family medioine, and it is positive proof that the remedy imitated is of the hiphe«t value. As soon as It had been tested and proved by the whole world that Hop BiUers was the purest, best, and most valuable family medioine on earth, many imitations sprung up and began to steal the noticep in wnich the presß and the people of the country had expressed the merits of jfct. 8., and In every way trying to induce suffering invalids to use their stuff instead, expecting to make money on the oredit and good name of H. B. Many others started nostrums pnt up in similar style to H. 8., with variously devised names in whioh the word "Hop or "Hops" were used in a way to induce people to believe they were the same as Hop Bitters. All such pretended remedies or cares, no matter what the\r style or name is, and especially those with the word " Hop " or " Hops " in their name, or in any way oonneoted with them or their name, are imitations or counterfeits, Beware of them. Touch none of them, Use nothing but genuine Amerioan Hop Bitters, with a cluster of green Hops on the white label, and Soule's name blown in the glass. Trust nothing else. Druggists and Chemists are earned against dealing in imitations or oonnterfeits.

Wickbd for Clergymen."— " I believe it to be all wroog and even wicked for clergymen or other public men to be led into giving testimonials to quack doctors or vile stuffs called medioines, but when a really meritorious artiole is made up of common valuable remedies fcnown to all, and that all physicians ÜBe and trust in daily, we should freely oommend it. I, therefore, cheerfully and heartily commend Hop Bitters for the good they have done me and my friends firmly believing they have no equal for family use. I will not be without them." — Rev , Washington, D.C.U.S. A.
