The steamer Macgregor was successfully floated off the rocks at Kawau, and beached at Bon Accord harbor, where she will be repaired, and brought on to Auckland,
The City North licensing committee have notified no leas than six hotels of objections to renewing licenses, on the ground* of Sunday trading, insufficient accommodation, and not required in the neighborhood.
Steps are being taken to canvass the city re establishing a company, with the sue gesied capital of L 60.000, to work La Montes' patent for gold saving.
