An inquest was held on a five-year-old child, who wan supposed to have died from negligence of the parents, but the medical evidence disclosed nothing beyond the fact of the child having been very weak and suffering from wasting diseases. The jury considered the parents were deserving of great censure for not procuiing medical attention.

At the police court ten boys, ranging in age from seven to ten years, were charged with etealing 3121bs of raisins. The parents were ordered to chastise them. The father of one suggested that th» parents should have been summoned, as they wwildo i' ld ba having babies in court next.
