THE EXHIBITION. (Press, April 6.)

Certain unclaimed exhibit! are lying at the railway sheds awaiting claimants, includini; two boxes and one parool from Dunedin, the owners of which are requested to attend to same without delay. The building presents a busy soene, and although the time is short, yet there aro ample evidences that the opening day will disappoint those who prodiot that it will come too early for many exhibitors. Still it all depends on the aotion of the exhibitors themselves. The flooring of the concert room has been completed, aud also the space between the main entrance to the art gallery, goods boing now unladen on to the trollies tit the gateway. As regards the volunteers' action on the occasion of opening the exhibition, the 0. Y. 0. will form a mounted guard of honor to his Excellency the Governor, escorting him from his retidonco to the entrance of tho Exhibition Building, where a guard of honor will be drawn up to receive him. A double lino of volunteers will extend from the entrance to the dni«, around which the cadets will form a body guard to his Excclloncy. Such of tho Christohurch exhibits as are already on view are moat oreditsbM to the exhibitors, and compare favorably with hko exhibits in tho British and other courts. The promoter* desire us to intimate that reserved seats will be retained only for all guests who have answered their inritation to be present at the opening ceremony. Applications having been made by exhibitors for apace in the " World 1 ! Pair" for objects whioh are not exhibits, the promoters wish it to be understood that all vendor* must be hona fidt a«enti of the manufacturers whoue goods they soil, and that such agents will not 'be allowed to sell at thwir stands any other articles except thoie specified in their licenses. They would also draw attention to " goods consigned to them " lying at preaeut at the railway station, so that the consignee* may be ablo to take possession of them at soon as possible, a! the exeoutive, according to their regulations, tak,t no responsibility.
