Lambra died in the Hospital last mght. After great discussion at Waitangi, a meeting of natives decided to unveil the monument, which was done. The American whaler Captain Giflord went asliore at Wamui Heuls, mistaking it for Mongonui. The crew are discharging the oil and expect to get the ship off. An old identity (Alex. Black) is dead, a^ed G8 Ho was one of the few surviving witnesses of the celebrated Treaty of Waitangi. A lottery was being held to dispose of a yacht. J'ho polico prosecuted the promoter (Frank Whiting), and he was hned L 3 and costs, or a month's imprisonment.
