SANDER AND SONS EUCALYPTI EXTRACT, Under the distinguished patronage of His Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy at Melbourne, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials : Epitome of declaration made before Moritz Conn, J.P., on the 17th October, 1877, at Sandhurst : Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabe, of Ironbark, for nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary. At this juncture Mr Raabe called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered. Brief extracts from the Bendigo Evening News : Mr Gieschin, residing near Sydenham / Gardens, had a very severe cold in Novem- i ber could scarcely breathe, and couldM get no relief. Cured after three applications » of the extract. The same gentleman Buffered eight years 1 from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief. Cured after takmg extract internally for six months. A man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied I the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate as much as an interruption in his attendance at work. I Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbin (Runnymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November Mrs Reeveß, from the RifleI man's Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back Creek. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in bend of the knee from a swelling which 1 formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued application ot the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December, 1877, states : Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with ear-ache. The extract was applied, and the little fellow was cured and asleep in ten minutes. BAILIE AND HUMPHREY, Oamaru. au6

INTERESTING TO ALL. Gentlemen,—l am yet alive, thankt to Holloway's Pills. Not wishing to become one of the residents of the Professors intended Lunatic Asylum now being erected in England, I lately bought a box of Holloway s Pills, took them at intervals, and refrained from the "flowing Bowl," and Richard's himself again. Holloway's Pills and Ointment are largely used m Bermuda, and that accounts, in my opinion, for the longevity of its inhabitants. I feel quite assured, however, that Professor Holloway is and has been one of the greatest benefactors to the human race that has ever lived, and that his name will be handed down to posterity when the names of our bravest manslayers are forgotten. Strange to say that we, in different ways, strive Y. acquire the art of killing, but our own preservation we take little heed of. I have liveii in Bermuda 26 years, and in that ti<;,e have inquired of soldiers how they have preserved their health so well; the answer has generally been, "By not going to the Army Doctor, but by using the Pills and Ointment.' By using the above, I am nowfouud at my Hermitage to be looking much younger aiid more healthy than you have seen me fo.years. Venn, J. W. ODDY, Tucker Town, Bermuda [Fomerly Sec. to the Duke of Brans wiokl The "Bermuda Times," May 10, 1879.
