RIFLE COMPETITION.

Twonty-one members of No. 1 Company competed at the butts yesterday morning for the handsome gift presented to the company by Major Sumpter, and also for the two prizes presented by Captain Headland. Good scoring was done, the morning being a good one for shooting. Althonuh Uaptain Ifeadland heads the Hat with 72 it is not his intention to take the prize, the officers of tho company having decided not to compete for the prizes. The following are the scores :
