THE THOROUGHBRED IMPORTED ENTIRE TASSO Will Travel the Otepopo, Kakanui, and Waiareka Districts This Season. TAS^O is a dark brown with black points, stands 16 hands 2 inches high, with immense bone and muscle, and splendid action. TASSO was bred in Victoria in 1873 by A. E. Clarke, Esq., and was got by Fire, works, dam Lota, by Peter Wilkins, grand, dam Young oweet Briar, by Conqueror, great grand-dam, Sweet Briar, by Foi re-ter out of Bequest by Buffalo, or Bolivar. Conqueror, by Peter Finn, out of Galloper by Trump, grand-dam Remembrancer, by Mr Solomon, great grand-dam, Qneen Mab, by Eclipse. Forrester, by Little John (iro. ported), dam, Kangaroo, by Wanderer, out of Merino, by Whalebone. Fireworks, by Kelpie, dam Gaslight, by Sir Herculea, grand-dam, Factory Girl, by Lamplipthter. (Tide Stud Book). Peter Wilkins, by Flying Dutchman, out of Boarding School Mis*. Fireworks won the AJ.C. Champagne Stakes in 1867 ; in the same year he won the AJ.C. Derby, also the two V.I: C. Deibys of 1867-68. In 1868 he won the St Leger and the Launceston Champion Cup, 3 ;mles, in 5 minutes 48 seconds Firework* was the sire of the following winners, notably : Rose d' Amour, Lapidist, K«ibm Hood, Goldsborough, and many other winners. Glodsborough won the A.J.C. Metropolitan Stakes in 3 minutes 32 seconds, carrying 9st 21b. It will therefore be leen by this pedigree that Tasso possesses «ome of the best blood that has ever be«s imported into the Colony. Tasso took' first prize at the Northern Agricultural aad Pastoral Association's Show (CasterVaty) in the year 1878, as being the best Blood Horse on the ground.
