The Wesleyan Conference has been sitting, but little business of general interest transpired. In response to a fraternal greeting sent to the district meeting of the Primitive Method, is t and Free Methodist Church in Ohristchurch and Dunedin, congratulatory messages were received. Alessrs Gillain, Roaewain, Griffith, Parsons, Hall, and Matthew, were presented a? candidates for the ministry ; two of these were exempt from examination, having passed their English examination, two others were absent, and Messrs Rosewarne, Griffiths, Hall, and Paraons were received to be trained for the ministry. The Rev. Mr Baben stated that he had given up the intention of removal to Sydney. The Rer. Mr Berber, from England, was received into full connection. The Rer. Mr Buller stated his determination to Bettle in Ohristchurch, not taking circuit north again. All probationers were allowed to pass in their years, and the Rev. Messrs Murray and Spence were allowed to gain a year. The studies at the Free Kings institution were favorably reported on. Messrs Penfold and Slade were passed for circuit work. The Rev. Mr Baker, from England, on the invitation of the conference, took his seat.
