The Mayor has consented to proclaim half* holidays on both days.

The railway authorities have arranged to run trains between Palmerston and Waimate at single fares, and trains will be despatched to opposite the Cricket Ground at intervals from 11.10 a.m. Return fare, 6d. The trains will stop at Coquet street to pick up and put down passengers.

The wickets will be pitched at 11 o'clock sharp.
