O»ta, milling, 2s Id to 2s 3d ; seed, Is lid to 2s. Retail lines maize, 4s. llama and bacon, IOJd to Is, equal sorts. Christchurch, April 15. The grain and produce market during the pvst week has not been particularly animated. Wheat continues to be received by rail in quantities for shipment, but sales bave not been current to any extent. The arrival of tonnage lately to load has disposed of the fear entertained a short titno ago of a stoppage from want of carriage. Wheat. — The market during the week has not been orer buoyant, and buyers for shipment are not eager, influenced by the easier feeling existing in the Home market. Sales locally have not been numerous, millers being pretty well supplied, and picking only the best lots. Buyers are offering at 3s 9d to .Is lOd, and for beat parcels 3s lid to 4s. Thick wheat is selling readily at 2s 6d to 3s. Oats are without the slightest change, and transactions have been of a most retail character. Quotations remain at Is 3d to Is 5d for feed, and Is 7d for milling. Potatoes. — Forward sales to a moderate extent aro re ported at 27s Gd to 355, but prices will in a week or two be more determined. Tho fjuility of the crop will be good, although it id stated that the quantity will not turn out ■o heavy as expected. Sheep this week are more ready of sale than they have been, and prices have advauced 2d per lb for mutton. Beef has also experienced a revival, and a large supply was all taken np at 22a for beat. The bulk, however, was sold at l?s to 20«. There was e**rer competition for a superior line of pigs, which sold at equal to4£d and 5d per lb.
