Tho following is a description taken from tho Melbourne Weekly Leader of a halfsister of Young Muir Lad, purchased in Sydnoy at a high figure by the Auckland Stud Company of how Zealaud, from Mr Andrew Town, of ltjchmond : Bay filly, two-year-old, by Muir Lad (imp.), dam Blossom. This filly obtained second prize at Sydnoy exhibition, 1878, being beaten by a first-class imported (illy eight months older than horself, and at Sydney exhibition, 1879, sho obtained second prizo in her class, being boaten by her half-sister, a splendid animal, somo high-priced imported fillies being behind her. Blossom's dam of this mare obtained first prize and Champion Cup at Sydney exhibition, 1878, and Muir Lad, her sire, obtained champion prizo two years in succeision. The sire* of these fillies are thoso of the best horses that ever came to Australia, their lists of prizes taken in England, Scotland, as well as hero, being as long as my arm ; and Muir Lad and Davie are too woll known to need comment. Everyone who moves among our heavy draught stock knows what the Davies and Muir Lads are like, and that they have no superiors, few equal*, if any, Terms £5 Groom's Fee, ss, payable at first lervice.
