Wood, arrested on a warrant from OhrUtchurch fpr wifo desertion, and from Timaru for fraudulent bankruptcy, was remanded to Chriatohuroh. Mr J. W. Thompson, member for Olutha, has accepted a seat in tho Ministry, and will probably hold the portfolio of Minuter of panels. Ho will be sworn to-morrow. Mr Bryce will bo the Government nominee for tho Chairmanship of Committees.
