WELLINGTON. July 14.
In the Supreme Court, Perotti, an Italian, was convicted of aiding and abetting in the recent stabbing case. Sentence was deferred. Cooper's caso, for a breach of the Arms Act, it Gxed for Wednesday, before a special jury. ' In the Police Court, Charles W. Wood, arrested on a warrant from OhrUtchurch fpr wifo desertion, and from Timaru for fraudulent bankruptcy, was remanded to Chriatohuroh. Mr J. W. Thompson, member for Olutha, has accepted a seat in tho Ministry, and will probably hold the portfolio of Minuter of panels. Ho will be sworn to-morrow. Mr Bryce will bo the Government nominee for tho Chairmanship of Committees.
