The reporter sent to Parihaka has not returned, nor has any communication yet been received hero from there. There was a rumor in town that the talk was " dark," .but as no one who attended from this place has returned yet, the report is doubted. The natives at Punake, on the other side of the Stony River, are much troubled at To Whih'* conduct, and especially those who have obeyed his instructions, in ploughing up the land. Owing to the groat inconvenience which tho messenger* travelling by ooach from Hawera havo boon put to through the dreadful state of the roads between Midhurst and Inglewood arrangements hava besn tnpde with the contractor to run an engine along the line to mc#t coach, and convey passengers to and fjfo till the line is ready for traffic. There wen no signs of the Stella op to 6 o'clock.
