SINCE the present Proprietor took possession of this Hotel, extensive improvements have I een effected by re-furnish-ing its suites for families, and largely extending its Bedroom accommodation. New furniture, unique and elegant, has been introduced into its suites, and no economy has been studied in making its Bedrooms what they are now admitted to be — lofty, airy, and replete with comfort. The Culinary department is conducted by one of artistical skill. Luncheon on the Table from 12 till 2 o'clock. Dinner waits the arrival of passengers by the Express Train from the South till half-past 6 p.m. Travellers by railway will find this Hotel —both at the time of their arrival in and departure from the city, owing to its proximity to the Railway Station — more convenient for them than any other Hotel in j Christchurch. A Porter ■will be in attendance on the arrival of Trains, to take charge of luggage, have it conveyed to the Hotel, and vice versa.
