COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE MELBOURNE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report, under date Melbourne, March 26th, 1879 :— Oats have suddenly receded, and sales of milling have been made as low as 4s per bushel. For very fine samples we still incline to the belief that more could be got. Feeding sorts range in price from 3s 9d to 3s lO^d and 3s lid, according to quality. Arrivals — 303 bags for week ending 18th inst. Barley will most probably sell high throughout the entire malting season, and unless larg-* shipments arrive from Cali f"">rnia, a fair profit should accrue to New Zealand shippers, provided always the samples are clean and light. Arrivals — 98 bags for week ending 18th inst. Bran, Is Id. Flour, LlO to LlO 2s 6d. Arrivals— Nil for week ending 18th inst. Wheat. —Arrivals — 67 bags for week ending 18th inst.
