The Lithgowr ironworks blMt furnace has started making rails far the extension of the railroad in this city to the Exhibition.
The population is lower at the Palmer, Queensland, and the majority are prostrate with fever, and destitute. The resources uf the Hospital are exhausted. The quarter's revenue shows a falling off of L 74,000, compared with the corresponding quarter of 1878. The land revenue alone produced LlOO,OOO. The customs revenue has decreased, and the railways have increased. Adelaide, March 31. Wheat, 4s 2d ; flour, LlO 10s.
