At the Grand National Show held at Kyneton, lSo'9, he gamed the first prize for the best colonial brtd Stallion, beating Dau O'Connell, the celebrated prise- 1 taker, and the renowned Prince Charlie, in > the class open to all comers. At tho same place he gained the first prize in 1870, also first in 1872, never having been beaten in his class. Sir Colin Campbell's dam Diamond, bred by Mr Paterson, Quamby, her sire Sir Colin Campbell (imported) by James Ross, Esq., ot Biahopbourno, Tasmania. Her dam was the celebrated mare Blossom. Blossom's sire, Clyde, imported to Tasmania by M. Field, Esq., of Lntield. Diamond when two years old, took tint prize at Weatbury ; when three ycais old, first at Longford, and first at Westbury ; when four years old, fint at Westbury ; and in lt>7o, first at lAUiiccaton, and firat at Westbuiy, being six first prizes in all, never having been beaten iu Tasmania.
