EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS.
WESTOX. A meeting was held in the sahool-house on Monday. There was only a small attendance of householders. The report of tho outgoing committee allowed ft very satisfactory state of attain to be existing in school matters. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year: —Messrs R. Jackson, K. Bain, R. Meek, A. Isdale, J. Jackson, D. M'Gregor, and D. Genge.
JtAKANI 1. The annual meeting of the householders of the Kakftmti School District was held in the schoolroom last Monday, for the purpose of electing a School Committee for the ensuing year. Cipt. Matheson occupied the chair. Votua of thanks to the retiring comuiit'oo. the chairman, secretary, and treasurer, were carried unanimously, »nd the following gentfomen were elected as the School Committee for the district :—Messrs Mathew Morton, Alexander Thomson, Capt. Matheson, , Robert Morton, James Mitcholl, Francis Bromley, and Alexander Graham.
