BIRCHWOOD FREEHOLD ESTATE.

This truly Valuable aud Magnificent Estate is situated in the Western District of Southland, and comprises, in all, some 7 "00 acres of first-cla>s land, nearly all being fit for the plough and is without doubt one of the best properties in the South. If the property is sola before the Ist February, 1879. the wool will be included, if not, the sheep will be shorn and the numbers will stand precisely as enumerated, less the wool. The only reason for disposing of this favorite property is the serious indisposition of a member of the proprietor's family, which compels him to leave the colony. The terminus of the Otautau and Nightcaps Railway is upon the run, and within a short distance of the freehold, and the proposed extension to the Waiau passes through the centre of the estate, and close to the present homestead. The above property will be offered for competition by public auction in Dunedin about the middle of February, 1879. if not earlier disposed of by private contract.
