Jean, as a 2-year-old, was placed first at Taieri and first at Dunedin ; as a 3-year-old, took first place at the Taieri and second at Tokomairno. Jean'g dam, Kate, as' a 2-year-old, secured second at Taieri, and fint at Dunedin ; aa a 3-year-old, was first at Taieri and first at Dunedin, while the fol lowing year she not only took first as the Beat Brood Mare, but wits awarded the Champion Cup, presented by Messn Wright, Stephenson, and Co., for the Best Animal in the Yard. Youxa Prince of Wales (imported) by Henry Hille, Esq., Wantwood, Southland, and bred by Lawrence Drew, Esq., Merryton, Hamilton. Before leaving Home he was awarded two firsts, and has beaten all the hones of note in the Colonies. Hia aire, Old Prince of Wales, stands, and has stood for the lost four years, at L4O. Prince Royal, as a yearling, took second at Timaru, first at Christchurch, and fint at Oamaru. When 2 yean, waa second at Timaru, and fint at Oamaru, and is now reckoned the best hone of his yean in New Zealand. '

Sir Colin Campbell ia a Dapple Grey, rising 3 yean old, and stands 16£ hands high, fine action, and plenty of bone and hair ; fine temper and sound constitution.

Sir Colin Campbell wa» bred by Mr James Smith, Gladfield, North Taieri, out of the celebrated Mare Diamond, by Young Iron Duke. Diamond imported from Tasmania by the late D. Nesbitt, Esq. Sir Colin Campbells Sire, Young Iron Duke, by Iron Duke (imported), out of Ducro, sister to Mr Jellies prize mare. Young Iron Duke gained the first prize at Warrnambool 6how, Victoria, and fint for the Best Draught Entire exhibited, beating all imported and colonial bred hones on the ground. At the Grand National Show held at Kyneton, 1869, he gained the fint prize for the best colonial bred Stallion, beating Dan O'Connell, the celebrated prizetaker, and the renowned Prince Charlie, in the class open to all comers. At tho same place he gained the fint prize in 1870, also fint in 1872, never having been beaten in hia class. Sir Colin Campbells dam Diamond, bred by Mr Paterson, Quamby, her aire Sir Colin Campbell (imported) by James Roas, Esq., of Biahopbourne, Tasmania. Her dam was the celebrated mare Blossom. Blossom's aire, Clyde, imported to Tasmania by M. Field, Esq., of Entield. Diamond when two yean old, took fint prize at Westbury; when three yeara old, nrst at Longford, and fint at Westbury; when four yean old, fint at Westbury; and in 1&70, fint at Launceston, and fint at Westbury, being six fint prizes in all, never having been beaten in Tasmania.
