Moanatiri shares LH 10s to Ll5, ex. div. Mr Skao's report on tho lunatic asylum is very unfavorable. ■It shows that whereas the building was erected for fifty patients, one hundred and sixty-five are crammed mtb it, the patients sleeping in the corridor on the top of the stairs, and in every, available space. He compares •the asylum management unfavorably with those of Christchurch and Hokitika ; but nays, 1 ! considering the many difficulties, the rate of mortality is not high.
