Nuney, own sister to Young Emperor, took First Prize «t the West Tnieri Show, 1874. "Soung Emperor is dark brown horse, shtiids 16 hands high. He was exhibited at the Tuieri Show in 1873 and 1874, and was both times a ptize- taker. Mnggy Lituder, his dum, hus been the winner of 18 prizes, 9 of them being first prizes in Otago. TebmS '.. £4. Marquis has gained the ft Ho wing prizes : — When one'year old, two first prizes ; at two /ears old, three first.; wlien three yours old, six first and two second, showing ugaiutt imported horse* ; vrheu four year* old, snowing against all coiners, four first and one second ; and three days before being shipped he carried off the first prize at the Q-rand National Show at Greelong, orer twelve com* petitors. Marquis is by Prince Charlie, out of Mr Brown's celebrated mar* Old Jean. , Old Jean gained thirteen first prizes, and never was beaten in her da/.
