DUNEDIN. January 10.

By the mail yesterday Prolessor Coughtrey received intimation, from the authorities of the University of Edinburgh, that they would recognise him as * lectarer in Dunedin whose lectures would qualify for graduation in medicine in that University, under the Scottish Universities Commissioners' Act of 1858.
