Weight for age. Distance, 1 mile. Pubiicans' Puese — A sweepstake of 1 sov. each, with 15 sovs. added. Welter weights for age. Entrance, £1. Distance, l£ mile. Hack Race — Of 10 sovs. ; for all horses that have never won public money, the bona fide property of residents in the Kakanui Township, to be in possession of such one month previous to the day of entry. Weight, 10 stone. Gentlemen riders. Entrance, 10s. Distance, 1 mile. Post entry. Kakanui Handicap — A sweepstake of 1 sov each, with 20 sovs. added. Distance, 2 miles. Nomination, 10s. Acceptance, £1. Hubdle Race — A sweepstake of 1 sov. each, with 10 sovs. added. Distance, 2 miles. Over eight flights of hurdles. Entrance, £1. Weight, 10 stone. Tbotting Race — A sweepstake of 10s. each with 5 sovs. added. Distance, 3 miles Weight, 10 stone. Entrance. 10s. Post entry. Consolation Handicap— Of Riding Whip' with purse of sovs. added. Scaled entries, with name, age, and pedigree ; also, colors of the riders for all races (post entries excepted), to b9 sent in to the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on Saturday, 21sfc December. Handicap weights to he declared in Nohth Otaoo Tisies on Tuesday, the 24th instant. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entries will be received except upon the condition that the decision of the Stewards iu all cases be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse unless the nominator and bona fide owner be subscribers of at least LI Is. to the race fund ; post entries, 10s. Any person entering a protest will have to deposit £1 Is. ; and should such be deemed frivolous by the Stewards, the same will be forfeited. The Dunedin Jockey Clup Rules will be strictly enforced.
